Ukrainian drones and missiles kill 4 in Russia and Crimea after bombing of Kharkiv leaves 3 dead


 On Sunday, the Russian authorities reported that four individuals lost their lives due to drone and missile attacks from Ukraine. This incident occurred just a day after Russia conducted airstrikes on Kharkiv, Ukraine's second-largest city, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and leaving numerous others hospitalized.

According to Mikhail Razvozhayev, the governor appointed by Moscow in Sevastopol, a port city in Crimea that is now under Russian control, three people, including two children, were killed by falling debris when five Ukrainian missiles were intercepted. Additionally, nearly one hundred individuals sustained injuries during the attack.

In the Belgorod region of Russia, which shares a border with Ukraine, one person was killed and three others were injured when three Ukrainian drones targeted the city of Grayvoron. Vyacheslav Gladkov, the regional governor, confirmed this information.

Air defenses overnight shot down 33 Ukrainian drones over Russia’s western Bryansk, Smolensk, Lipetsk, and Tula regions, the Russian Ministry of Defense said Sunday. No casualties or damage were reported.

On Saturday afternoon, Kharkiv was targeted by Russia, destroying a five-story residential building and the tragic loss of three lives due to the impact of four aerial bombs. As of Sunday, Regional Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported that 41 individuals were still receiving medical treatment for their injuries. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a video address following the attack, called upon Ukraine's allies to strengthen its air defenses.

President Zelensky emphasized the urgent need for modern air defense systems, such as Patriots, enhanced training for F-16 pilots, and most importantly, weapons with sufficient range. During the night, two individuals were injured by falling debris when Ukrainian forces successfully intercepted and shot down two Russian missiles over the Kyiv region, as confirmed by Ukraine's air force commander Mykola Oleschuk. Additionally, Regional Governor Vadym Filashkin of Ukraine's partially occupied Donetsk region reported that the Russian attacks on Saturday resulted in the loss of two lives and left four individuals wounded
