According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukraine has the potential to achieve victory over Russia if the Western nations effectively mobilize their resources to counter the Kremlin's actions. Despite President Vladimir Putin's intimidating tactics, such as the mention of nuclear weapons, ISW asserts that Russia's chances of success are slim if the West provides comprehensive support to Ukraine.

One action that could potentially help end Putin's war in Ukraine is if Western nations were to provide Ukraine with modern battle tanks and long-range missile systems. This would significantly bolster Ukraine's defensive and offensive capabilities, allowing them to better resist the Russian onslaught and potentially even regain lost territory.

However, providing these advanced weapons systems risks further escalating the conflict and provoking a stronger Russian reaction. Nonetheless, many experts believe that arming Ukraine with more powerful weaponry could be the key to shifting the balance of power and pressuring Putin to seriously negotiate a peace settlement. This high-risk, high-reward strategy is being closely considered by NATO countries. For images click on me

The report underscores the critical importance of Western intervention, asserting that Russia is incapable of overcoming Ukraine or the West and is likely to face defeat if the West mobilizes its resources to oppose the Kremlin. Putin launched an extensive information campaign during his mid-June visits to North Korea and Vietnam, to undermine the strategic unity of Ukraine's allies. For images click on me

The endeavor aligned with notable progress: more than 80 international dignitaries, at the Ukraine-hosted Global Peace Summit on June 16, reiterated their dedication to Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity as the cornerstone for enduring peace.

On June 13, Ukraine solidified its position by finalizing 10-year security pacts with the United States and Japan. These agreements were reinforced by additional pledges from allies within the G7 and Ukraine Defence Contact Group frameworks, highlighting enduring Western backing for Ukraine.

Putin's tactics rely on duping the global community into retracting their assistance for Ukraine. His veiled nuclear warnings form part of a wider scheme to undermine the united front of Ukraine's supporters. Nevertheless, the ISW assesses the probability of real nuclear escalation as minimal, interpreting these threats as a type of nuclear coercion aimed at dissuading Western powers from fully supporting Ukraine's security. For images click on me

The ISW's Key Points from June 20 further expand on these observations, emphasizing that Putin's diplomatic moves aim to splinter the international alliance backing Ukraine. His nuclear intimidations seek to instill fear but are improbable to result in actual nuclear warfare.
